Got plans for the inauguration? The Outright Libertarians are holding an Anti-Inaugural Ball dance party on the roof of a hotel in Phoenix, to be followed by the Arizona LP state convention and a pizza party the next day. I'll be speaking briefly Friday night; main speakers include sex work activist Maggie McNeil and Kevin McCormick who was one of last year's contenders for the LP presidential nomination:

  Should be fun! Unfortunately the person who was going to drive down with me is sick and decided not to go at the last minute. Fortunately I was able to rent a car on short notice from one of the only rental places that takes debit cards, but now I have to cover the travel costs by myself which I can ill afford. So if anyone's interested in a fun road trip, leaving tonight and flexible on the return but sometime after Sunday, call me ASAP for details!

Might not want to celebrate too soon on that score! Personally I trust Trump to keep the United States out of war about as much as I trust him to cut spending.
