"Ahoy, Germany! A group of libertarian youths are calling themselves pirates and besieging German politics"

I'm trying to remember which Libertarian it was who ridiculed me for dressing as a pirate at one of our conventions. Avast ye, knave -- get a load of 7.1 percent of the national vote in Sweden and a seat in the European parliament! But seriously, this is a positive development. Even if the Pirate parties' positions aren't altogether libertarian -- their calls for a government ministry devoted to Internet policy is particularly naive -- I think the main thrust of the movement, protecting Internet freedom, is one we can applaud. And perhaps learn something from about how to get young people interested in politics.
