Agenda, Meeting of 12 May 2018

Hi all,
We don't have much for this month's agenda-- there are a few things that need to wrap up before our meeting. I am hoping to get the postcards with our recommendations out to voters by Monday. Please let me know if there's anything else I'm missing, otherwise we will wrap up early-- no need to drag on with nothing to talk about!

NOTE: This meeting will be at Phil Berg's home again, since I was unable to book the library this time. Sorry for the mixup.
See you soon,
Nick

Hi Nick. Can we allocate a little chunk of the meeting to the upcoming
June election? I received my local Voters Handbook today, and I am pleased
with our work represented in it. Amazingly, for Prop E (Flavored Tobacco),
we had the only paid argument against it, so that was money well spent. On
Prop A (SFPUC revenue bonds), the opposition quoted Patrick Moynihan saying
the LP has a right to our opinion but not our facts, so I guess we're
moving up in the world if they bother to attack us! Since there aren't too
many state measures, and I don't think LPCA came out with recommendations
on the state measures, I think I could go through the state measures before
the meeting, and we could vote on our recommendations for them, and we
could include that in our website as one-stop shopping for our readers. I
read through them this morning while I was at the dentist's office, and
they didn't seem that complicated or hard to figure out from a Libertarian
point of view.

Thanks!
Aubrey

Aubrey,

Thanks for bringing this up. I will add it to the agenda before activist
reports so we have plenty of time to discuss.
