I haven't found anyone to speak, so I'm going to cancel tomorrow's event in favor of just having the chat.
Michael Edelstein also informs me that Sheesh Mahal is now closed, and Maharani is expanding to take over that space. He suggested another Indian restaurant with similar food, Taj Mahal, which is located at 398 Eddy Street at the corner of Leavenworth. This is closer to Market Street and to downtown. Although the 'hood is a bit seedier, I've eaten there and the food is good and their buffet is even cheaper than Sheesh Mahal's was. It's a large space, so we should be able to have speakers there with relatively little disturbance.
So since I guess it falls to me to host the chat, I'll say we'll meet tomorrow at Taj Mahal at 7pm, and people can check it out and get an opinion on whether to continue using it or look for another venue. If anyone (Kelly?) wants an escort through the neighborhood, please let me know. 8)

door last week for anyone who showed up late for last
weeks chat, thinking it was a temporary thing, but
apparently not.

Sorry you missed my note last week. I did stick around
from 7-7:20 before I left it, hoping to catch most
everyone personally. This was an unforeseen and random
circumstance so hopefully you aren't too upset about
it.
As far as the cell number goes... I'm still trying to
get this 'weekly host' thing up and running which
would give everyone a point of contact for any
particular chat. I've already committed to attending
every week in Feb. so at least one person will be
there this month, if that's any consolation.(sans
another venue closure)
On the other hand, I also worry about a situation
where everyone ends up calling first, to see if
'everyone else is already there' - if you know what I
mean...
Also, would you be willing to host a chat in March?

I'm only asking because that was the 2nd or 3rd time that has happened. If the announced chats happen reliably when announced, I don't think anyone will bother to call ahead.
