A bunch of people living in their vehicles parked near the zoo are being forced to move by the city government, having been given a deadline of tonight and in many cases apparently having nowhere to go:
The city government seems to love ticketing and towing people into homelessness. They must not think San Francisco has enough homeless people.
If they want the RV residents to move, they should be required to provide somewhere else in the area where it’s legal for these folks to park on the street.
I strongly suspect the roadwork is a pretext. Look at the attached screenshot of the street, from the TV news video. Does that street look like it’s in need of repair, compared to many in San Francisco?
Anyone with a car up for going out there with me to flier the RV folks and offer them the LPSF’s support? You don’t need to live in San Francisco to help if you’re willing. I think we can probably appropriate some money for gas.
