For what it's worth, I also met the SFUsualSuspects.com operator recently, and found out that he is a Gavin Newsom supporter and a Democrat. He told me that if he was starting a society from scratch on a desert island he might go with a libertarian approach but feels the current system is too complex to allow it. I got the feeling he was pandering and may not have much of a clue about how liberty works.
