A message from Christopher Brodeur, a member of The San Francisco Libertarian Party Meetup Group

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for your message. There has been some discussion among local Libertarians about Tony Hall in recent weeks, as you may or may not be aware. I think we'd be interested in having a *discussion* with him, but I believe he'd have to make a real effort to win our support again. The LPSF endorsed Tony when he first ran for Supervisor and unseated Mabel Teng, but once he got in office many of us were rather disappointed by his lack of libertarian positions and actions, particularly on the civil liberties side of the equation. I think it's fair to say he strikes us as more of a conservative than a libertarian. Which is to say that we'd probably be happy to work with him on many economic issues, such as supporting Jeff Adachi's pension reform measure, or getting the SF Taxpayers Union restarted.

By the way, are you a local LP member? I don't immediately recall having seen you around. You are always welcome to attend our meetings*, as is Tony, and please let me know if you'd like to subscribe to our discussion list, lpsf-discuss@yahoogroups.com.

Love & Liberty,
