I found these written down on a scrap of paper in my room; I think
they were things that people brought up at the Taxpayers Union meeting
back in April. FWIW, if anyone's interested...
(1) Try to reverse Tom Ammiano's Proposition E, on the grounds that it
was a fee or rate increase by a vote of the Board of Supervisors, not a
vote by the people.
(2) Take a look at the Redevelopment Agency; Do we need one? New zones?
Most current ones expire in 2009 after 30 years in place; Gavin Newsom
has proposed 3 new areas; $100 million in bonds generated only $18.5
million in revenue back to the general fund.
