"House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) announced Monday that 45
members of the House of Representatives would be laid off and
replaced by cost-efficient heavy legislating machinery. 'I feel awful
for my colleagues .... I've known some of these people for years, but
the fact remains that these new machines can pass bills up to 10
times faster than their human counterparts. Like it or not, this is
