I'd love to see "the Republican party fall apart and be replaced from within" (by a true small govt party).
When one of the two Big Govt parties fares particularly poorly for a few years, there's a temptation to consider this as its death knell. (Bill Bradford wrote extensively about the imminent end of the Democratic party in the mid-90's, after the "conservative" victories in the House).
Although both parties have waned (and waxed) through the 20th century, they have both survived to oppress us today. Unfortunately, this sad state of affairs is likely to continue.
