Zoom Call

Hi SF Libertarians,

In an effort to expand the civic engagement of the LP, I’ve set up a zoom call with the coordinator of Refuse Refuse to answer any questions for June 2nd but need a time. What time works best? Let’s get some submissions.

I would like to set up a monthly cleanup session sponsored by the LP. I don’t know of any other LP institutional involvement in San Francisco so this could be a first. I understand there may be disinterest because of government involvement but we are a political party, right? I encourage everyone to participate and have questions about the program.

Chris Mendes
Chair of the Libertarian Party of San Francisco

Dear Chris,

When overpaid Public Works couch potato fatcats feed off our tax dollars ( earnings, savings, taxed purchases, property taxes ) & yet STILL leave the City covered in gross disease promoting human litter & waste, covering up their laziness/scam by doing their work for free, seems odd.

Nonetheless, since National ( Kamala, Pelosi ), State ( local Sate Sen Weiner ) & Local Ds are bringing their Circus to the Pink Triangle Lighting event on Wednesday 1 June, a contingent of SFLPers, among others, at that event & related pre-/post- cleanups might be very wise & possibly garner some msmSnews attention to overall Libertarian goals, beyond simply fostering meaningful advantageous engagement with the local grass roots community, neighbors, & cordial friendly discussions on Libertarian Solution to myriad crises We All face ( #PlantingSeed ).

YOU CAN HELP !

Sign up for 2022 VOLUNTEER opportunities

▼Saturday, May 21st, 10am to 1pm: Site Prep volunteers to clear litter and debris.

▼Saturday, July 2nd, 10:30am: Take-Down volunteers of the pink triangle “outline” and shiny pink streamers (sparklers).

Hi Marty,

It may seem odd to you but to me it seems as a resident of SF that I would like to take some ownership back. This would be an easy way to show that the Libertarian Party is more than some self interested hedonists telling people how to live. By doing a neighborhood cleanup, we can have face to face time with the communities in SF in a positive manner. I would encourage you to attend the zoom call. I’ll be proposing a 6:30 pm call for people who have to commute.

Chris

Dear Chris,

I haven’t seen any other “libertarians” out on a daily basis promoting celebrating & gleefully brazenly engaging — & literally being embraced by THOUSANDS of fans, young & old, local & foreign, with the grater community on a weekly basis than the RELIGIOUS/Liberty loving FREErangeSFnudistPIONEERS ever in My Life.

Hi SF Libertarians,

It was a busy week with the LPNC this week. I spoke with Vince and we scheduled Thursday, June 2nd at 1:30 pm via zoom. This is a Q&A session only. Hope to see anyone interested attending.

Chris

I look fwd to the Q&A, Chris.

Please send Vince My Qs in advance, since the standard govt/shill shuck&jive MO is to claim ignorance & promise disingenously to get back with all the facts later, I’d prefer to get official info/data directly instead of having one of My old DC investigative reporter buddies dig deeply to find it.

  1. How much do SF Public Works custodians make as a baseline & at all levels & do they ALL get #PaidFamilyLeave paid-vacations for each sex partner pregnancy?
  2. How many SF Public Works custodians have called in “sick” due to #sarscovid2 cold/flu symptom “claims” since the p(l)andemic began?
2.a. How many are currently out on “sick” leave?
  3. What is the overall budget for SF Public Works?
  4. How many taxdollers does the SF Public Works DIRECTOR haul in every year?
  5. Since private Citizens are now being recruited to do the job of govt workers, does Vince think it would be more economical & efficient if a purely private & competitive group of businesses took over for this poorly-managed over-priced, unsustainably so, agency as most credible Libertarians would demand?

“IF” I join clean ups out on the streets, I want to wear a “sandwich board sign” to educated the public on how much of their earnings, savings, taxed consumer goods, & proper taxes are being misspent. I’ve always found that simple pleasant cordial education is the best way to engage & win over hearts&minds&VOTES.

BTW, Even Our old/former @LibertarianDC heads, who were proud of the published affiliation & could competently manage a web site … & weren’t deep in the pockets of local DC Dems à la the DC Greens ) put their mug shots & social media contacts on their (old) web site to better engage with ALL voters & promote Libertarian solutions. I expect as much from the SF LP.

Any chance You can schedule a Q&A soon with newly seated LP Chair & Californian AE McArdle / “@angela4LNCChair” so that She can better engage Her grass roots & strengthen Her networks & clarify Her personal strategic goals for the LP finally giving the legacy dinosaurs a peaceful resting place ?

@angela4LNCChair

Angela Elise McArdle is an American politician from California who is currently the 22nd Chair of the Libertarian National Committee, the governing body of the Libertarian Party. She was elected on May 28, 2022.

Marty

Hi Marty,

I emailed Vince your questions and will reach out to Angela to see what can be set up. Regarding the budget, Mayor Breed released her proposed budget yesterday. Public Works is on page 283.

Chris

Gracias!
Any thoughts on connecting with the new LP Chief?

Hi Marty,

I sent an email to her requesting a Q & A. I’ll keep everyone posted. Also, no one showed at the cleanup zoom so the proposal will be scrapped.

Chris

My apologies Chris, I know how dispiriting it is to schedule something and have no one show up. I was just getting back from Reno and it completely slipped my mind. I hope we can still get some kind of volunteer clean-up effort going that will give the LPSF visibility and highlight the libertarian commitment to voluntary community efforts as opposed to government spending and control.

Having a Q&A with new national chair Angela McArdle sounds like a good idea. Do you have anyone or anything scheduled for our next meeting, June 11? It’s already coming up in less than a week.

Love & Liberty,

((( starchild )))

Given the current ( mercurial ) weather forecast & ( somewhat reliable ) social media response, & word on the street ( My personal interactions ), the Sunshine will likely encourage a good number ( 40? … maybe 100? ) of anti-govt body•mask mandate, Catholics(?) & freedom of religion & body•freedom embracing Libertarian or libertarian-leaning or libertarian-lite or POTENTIALLY-Libertarian folks showing up in the Castro prior to Your 11 June meeting. These folks are low-hanging fruit for local SF Libertarian Party Leaders honestly looking to expand exposure to LP Solutions & recruit more folks to Libertarian activities & meetings & zoom calls — in a casual environment conducive to “soft sell” pitches & cordial engagement.

The Ride kicks off at 12pm/Noon from Rincon “Cupid’s Arrow” Park, The Embarcadero & Folsom Street. There’s a brief gathering at 11am which is another, albeit smaller, window of opportunity for engagement than the post-ride AfterParty in The Castro. After a photo op at the BallPark, We also have a short stop, for a photo-op at City Hall, for Libertarians who want to politically cordially photo-bomb those shots & send a message to #TheTemps in office.

It cannot be stated more clearly that “ALL #WNBRsf2022 / #WNBR events are #BareAsYouDare; so, if you prefer to stay fully clothed, & masked up, head to toe, that’s perfectly cool.” We might even be able to provide “horse blinders” as the late Libertarian Lion centi-millionaire tech entrepreneur & twice LP potus candidate & Naturist/Nudist, John McAfee suggested publicly during his previous campaigns ( to @LarrySharpe @sharpe_way podcast, don’t trust Me, listen to the audio ), but please let me know in advance how many might need them.

The #WNBRsf2022 AfterParty might as well be a pre-SFLP pre-meeting social meet&greet as far as I’m concerned. I hope the upcoming urban cleanups become a success someday; the City sure needs cleaning up. But the #WNBRsf2022 is another real bona fide option for engagement like few others, Chris & Starchild.

Indeed, if I were a local LP Party leader or candidate, My first targeted pitch to this group would, be, after friendly chitchat, “The Democrat Mayor LB & @SFBOS would lock you in a CAGE & FINE You for this with their current laws & screw with Your fun; Libertarians would legalize ALL Your Happy peaceful pursuits & We’d clean up these streets within a week if we had the authority & [ My stump speech kicker ] We’d give You a roughly 25% RAISE!” [ by eliminating taxation ].”

Now that the Sunday SF Examiner has featured — in print & online — #WNBRsf2022 as a Top 5 Free Weekend Activity ( has any other Libertarian ( big or small L ) event been so honored? ), I expect even greater turnout & opportunity for SFLP engagement, Chris & Starchild. I wish Jeff was here to represent at the event.
