Hi All,
One of the tasks I have scheduled to do with the LPSF website as my time permits is to update some of the old permanent sections to ensure the information is still current. One of these old sections is the list of charities that Rob Power made showing that Libertarians favor private charities over government aid, which lists the charities our members support.
The charity I gave Rob to list, The Rubber Ducky Derby is no longer an annual event benefiting Oakland Children's Hospital, so I have to replace that with something else I support. So I am wondering if any of you would like me to list other charities that you also support or prefer to support instead of the ones Rob listed for you. Here is what is in the section now:
Mike Denny: Foundation Beyond Belief
Starchild: Idriss Stelley Foundation, No More Deaths-No Mas Muertes,
Rob Power: Larkin Street Youth Services, Nature Conservancy, Rainbow World Fund
Michael Edelstein: SMART Recovery
If any of you have additional charities, please let me have the charity's name and website address.
We have touted private charity over government aid in our literature, tablings, and other outreach. How credible is the private charity option if we don't find a way to show we ourselves live by what we preach?
