March 28-29 - Marriage Equality California is holding a Candlelight Vigil/Karaoke Wedding Song marathon planned for Sunday March 28th at 6:30pm - the day before the SF Court rules on the injunction to stop issuing marriage licenses in SF - (or on any day before that, if the Supreme Court orders the City to stop issuing marriage licenses.)
The plan is to march from Harvey Milk Plaza in the Castro to City Hall/SF Courthouse/Supreme Courthouse - and then to continue the rally with an endless night of dancing to Karaoke Wedding Songs sung by volunteers until the court rules on the injunction on Monday probably around noon - on the 29th.
All groups of the GLBT Community and our Straight Allies are invited to take part, all singers, organizers, leaders, participators, in this peaceful, fun, entertaining and visually strong statement of a 24 hour Wedding Song Karaoke. Couples are encouraged to wear wedding garb and bring a copy of their marriage license on a poster board for show. This is for both the different sex and same sex married couples participating.
