Thank you for the amazing article. "Rights".. what does that mean? I
guess it means whatever a social group decides it means? And as long
as the liberal social group says it is OK to use unlimited amounts of
taxpayers' hard-earned cash, "Rights" will also be unlimited -- right
to education, right to medical care, right to housing, right to a
living wage, right to a sex-change operation. Well, I will continue
to hope that Libertarians will one day be successful in pointing out
to the general, average working Joe/Jane that he/she is being taken
for a ride.

all that these "rights" mean is that one group gets a benefit at the expense
of others, mediated by a political system that is geared to benefit those
who manage, by hook or crook, to control the levers.
if libertarians (or any other group) seek to change it, they will have to
gather the reins in their own hands, by participating in the system (which can
be corrosive in itself) and winning a share of the spoils/control.
hand-wringing, complaining and decrying the system and status quo is quite
useless in effecting change, and generally a waste of time.
mobilizing large numbers of voters, by whatever means necessary, is
ultimately what's needed.
"how" is the question we need to answer satisfactorily. until then,
libertarians will be a marginal group, at best.
