TODAY, May 17, is International Day Against Homophobia - But Leading U.S. GLBTQ Groups Ignore Events

At a time when mainstream GLBTQ organizations in the United States are largely focused on narrower, parochial concerns such as the civil rights of gays in the U.S. to marry, and to be employed in the government's military forces, libertarians have an opportunity to take the lead in addressing the most serious injustices being faced by GLBTQ people.

Making the worldwide decriminalization of non-traditional sexual orientations and gender roles our top priority, and speaking out against the 80 national governments that criminalize homosexuality, including five which have laws making homosexual acts punishable by death, will send a message that we do not discriminate on the basis of nationality when it comes to standing up for GLBTQ rights.
