Tax Day Outreach 2013 April 15

I think my question was more rhetorical. It would be up to Marcy or Aubrey to want it put together. Then I will jump on it. I just spoke with Dan, GGLR, to get my info straight. They are already partnered with the outreach and you and I are the closest liaisons to C4L.

We're in the thick of it now, Michael.

John

John,

Interesting thoughts. Thank you. Correct me if I am wrong, but I feel that smart Republicans like Rand Paul have already caught on to the political homelessness of the tired-of-endless-war republicans and the OMG-where-are-all-my-paycheck-withholding-going democrats. Libertarians (big L) better be aware of that, and engage in more focused action that addresses the public's concerns.

BTW, do we really care what John Tate is doing or not doing? All I care abut is what our good friend Dan The Man and his local group is doing.

Marcy

Feel free to jump in on it right now, John, and do promotion for Tax Day Outreach 2013! The details are on the flier in the Files section of this list and on the GGL Meetup list of events. Thanks.

Marcy

Marcy,
Yeh, I just met Dan and he rocks! And if John Tate can't support a libertarian initiative in SF Civic Center on tax day....ahh...umm...well...let's pretend that can't happen...

I can't correct you, your feeling is a good as mine. But I can't help but feel that there is a Beltway disconnect from operational reality. The "court dancers" are all choreographed to the same, no matter what's going on.

In contrast, I feel the greatest potential for a whole new symphony is right here in the Bay Area. A smattering of people from diverse elements will come together form a new front, send a political earthquake across the country. There is no place in the country, where the RNC is given the disrespect it deserves, as much as here. A real people's heavy-hitter would blow it in the weeds. It would probably take two years to train the troops and bring SoCal in line.

I think the Republican brand has been so trashed, it could be under any name, so long as it delivered the product. John Howard, in Santa Rosa, thinks it would be easiest to rebrand the name. That's my hometown and I can see his point but I think it doesn't matter yet. He has rolled up his sleeves to clean house. Either way, we must form the new front, and see who can pony-up.

John

Marcy,
OK, I'll call DC tomorrow and see what they can do. I spoke with Mat earlier this week, to thank him for taking the time

to meet with us. (I actually do appreciate things) I think it was a big step in the right direction and maybe a semi-big deal. I gotta hand it to Mike Denny for adding it to Edelstein's plan for our first meeting of the "new league".

I have a feeling the liaison will get shuttled to John Dennis, but we'll see.

John

Actually Michael Edelstein invited Matt…FYI.

Mike

Indeed, Matt was visiting in his capacity as a paid employee of Campaign for Liberty. It is mildly ironic for us to be thanking him, since we were all there on our own time as activists.

Love & Liberty,
                                ((( starchild )))

Really? Diabolical while he seems sooo nice.

We spoke about inviting you and then I though you invited Mat. No matter...it all worked out.

It is a collaborative event, since we have invited Ron Paul Supporters and Tea Partiers to participate.

Yeh, there are various ways to look at it. It was really, very much to his advantage to meet with us. But not so much in the execution of his job, but in the advancement of liberty, which they will do none, without us. We may not have the keys yet but we're absolutely in the drivers seat.

Plus he's so young! Yet he was fairly fluent in the subject.

Edelstein hooked me up with another guy in SoCal, building another network, so if C4L can't get it together, we have redundancy, but not by tax time.

Plus I dropped the ball getting the access codes to Charlie and reviving the Marin LP website. I gotta get that up so we can follow the Oyster Farm contest. The lagunitas event was great and the New Living Expo booths should be great too.

And Michael Edelstein bought his lunch.

Mike

Am I detecting underwhelming enthusiasm for C4L?

Speaking of underwhelming:
So I heard on the news this morning, that the Aurora shooter was brought to the attention to the police by his psychiatrist, in an official capacity, according the professional reporting requirements. I'm sure there is no flood of such reports for the police to filters.

Does it get any worse? When will we eliminate that horrible institution? Once again they fail miserably and spectacularly in the terrifying death of innocent people, just like their miserable and spectacular failure in 9-11.

And at the time they were claiming their actions saved lives.

The national conversation should not be gun control, it should be police control. It is the police that should be banned, so that competent civilian institutions can resume.

Instead, they bare trying to take our guns and take more of our money for more of them to make more trouble for us.

It's an outrage!!
