IMMIGRATION AND AARON RUSSO
Earlier this year over 700 libertarians signed petitions protesting talk show host Neal Boortz based on his support for the war on Iraq and for FBI spying on peace activists (which includes many libertarians). Some were worried because he has publicly speculated he might want to run for president on the Libertarian ticked after he finishes his talk show career. In this context Libertarians for Peace and other libertarians feel it necessary to strongly encourage Libertarian Party presidential contender Aaron Russo not to PROMOTE his opposition to immigration as a major (or even a minor!) issue, as he originally intended. It's a bad precedent that encourages future candidates to focus on two or even three issues that contradict our principles and platform. We are hoping Russo will stop doing so and pledge not to do so if he becomes our candidate and have a DRAFT petitiononline list our various concerns linked at http://www.libertarians4peace.net MEANWHILE WE ENCOURAGE PEOPLE WHO AGREE TO E-MAIL AARON RUSSO WITH THEIR CONCERNS. CONTACT HIM VIA HIS WEB PAGE -- HE DOES READ THESE MESSAGES! http://www.russoforpresident.com/contact.php

IT'S THE BLOWBACK, AMERICA!
The good news is that all three of the LP's candidates are strong in opposition to U.S. interventionism, foreign aid and the War on Iraq. However, the LP candidate MUST use this opportunity to get it into Americans heads that the reason for terrorism is BLOW BACK -- a reaction to bad foreign policy. It is NOT the neocon propaganda of evil Islamofacists out to rule the world, just like those damned commies during the LAST cold war! This is hardly a radical approach, since we're nearing the point where a majority of Americans think the war on Iraq made us LESS safe from terrorism. But it's something you won't hear from the Demopublicans. You WILL hear it from Ralph Nader, and one way to take votes away from his is to say it louder and stronger so all the people who think he's a closet socialist will know they have another alternative.

IT'S THE BLOWBACK, STUPID buttons are currently available at http://www.radicalbuttons.com/anti-war.html I'll be testing IT'S THE BLOWBACK, AMERICA buttons at my literature and button table out on the Washington DC Mall. There's nothing like making a few bucks selling peace, libertarian and secession buttons in the heart of the belly of the beast!

APRIL 19th is the 11th Anniversary of the FBI's murder of 76 men, women and children at Waco. Yet the Libertarian Party does NOT take a strong stand for abolishing the FBI -- or the CIA. Let's hope it will do so at the 2004 Convention!! For details about "Waco" and to obtain a copy of my book THE DAVIDIAN MASSACRE, published by Gun Owners Foundation, go to http://www.carolmoore.net/waco/

Dear Carol;

April 19 has significance for some things other than Waco.

April 19, 1775 - The shot heard 'round the world: The Battles at Lexington Green and Concord Bridge.

During the day long battle after the showdown on Lexington Green the Redcoats were driven back to Boston. Some 75 Americans died and some 273 Redcoats. The Revolutionary War is started. One year later America declares its Independence.

April 19, 1943 - The Warsaw Ghetto Revolt.

The Nazi SS went in to remove the remaining Jews in Warsaw to send them to the gas chambers. They fought back. It was also Passover Day. As some have noted the unregistered guns they had did not have trigger locks. Some 753 Jewish Resisitance Fighters held our for about a month. Ultimately the Nazi SS won out and about 56,000 survivors were captured. Some 7,00 were executed on the spot. The others were sent to Death Camps. This set the foundation for Jews to fight for their freedom and the ultimate creation of Israel.

April 19, 1995 - Oklahoma City - Murrah Federal Building bombed. 168 men women and children died from the bomb blast.

Timothy McVeigh decides to exact revenge for Waco and blow something up. He shows how an ex-military, disaffected, white, red-blooded American terrorist can compete with any terrorist around the world. McVeigh also supposedly equated the government assault on Waco as same as the Nazi SS assault on the Warsaw Ghetto.

April 19, 1993 - Massacre of Branch Davidian religious minority at Waco, Texas.

US Attorney General Janet Reno accepts responsibility. But no one was held accountable for the assault on the religious cult gunowner. It appears the government couldn't make the distinction between a religious cult which had guns for their personal protection and people who had collected an arsenal to attack the government.

To save tax dollars there is another host of government departments to get rid of as well. Dept Education - Dept Agriculture - Dept Treasury - Dept Defense - Dept Justice etc etc etc.

Why just stop with the CIA and the FBI???

***Do you know where Paul Revere was riding to?? The farm of Col
James Barrett, head of militia at Concord, since many of the weapons
were buried there. He was a my g-g-g-grandfather. So I found it
particularly insulting they killed the Davidians that day. As I
mention in intro to my book THE DAVIDIAN MASSACRE
