Talking about LvMI...

Dear Rob,

I agree with Mike Denny who wrote:

It seems the LP should be a big enough tent to include LvMI folks too.

or I guess I'm not welcome.:>)

I'm a financial contributor to the Mises Institute and was a speaker at their 2007 Austrian Scholars Conference in Auburn. They provide a wealth of erudite anti-state publications and conferences, and serve as a shining beacon in the libertarian movement.

It's my understanding the War of Northern Aggression was not fought to end slavery. In fact, Abraham Lincoln in his first inaugural address vowed he would not interfere with slavery. Read his speech at http://showcase.netins.net/web/creative/lincoln/speeches/1inaug.htm. Lincoln feared secession, as should all tyrants worth their salt.

Best, Michael

I'm not prepared to write off the Ludwig von Mises Institute as an "institution non grata" either. Certainly not while they employ scholars like Roderick Long (his website is http://praxeology.net/ ; you can check out http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig3/long6.html to get a taste of his right-wing commentary!)

Love & Liberty,
