The fact noted below that Prop. 64 (aka Adult Use of Marijuana Act) "never says marijuana is medicine, or that it has medicinal value" but instead "calls marijuana a dangerous and addictive drug" seems pretty telling that this measure is not meant to protect the medical cannabis rights established under Prop. 215 or guarantee a place for compassionate providers to legally operate co-ops and the like.
Famed longtime compassionate use provider Valerie Corral, even after being personally lobbied by billionaire Sean Parker, has evidently come to the conclusion that Prop. 64 is not the "legalization" we want.
The Libertarian Party of California also recently voted to oppose Prop. 64, despite generally being in favor of legalizing marijuana.
