The SF Bay Area Renters Federation is having a happy hour at Tonic bar, 2360 Polk Street.
Sonja Trauss of SFBARF is urging group members to support recently appointed supervisor Julie Christensen to be elected to serve a full term in District 3. She's being challenged by former supervisor Aaron Peskin, maybe others I haven't heard about.
Christensen is presumably more free-market oriented on development and other economic issues than the left-wing Peskin, but how good she is on freedom overall and whether there are other better candidates in the race remains unclear to me.
