[sfbarentersfed] San Francisco Nudges Homeless Away From Super Bowl Fan Village

Clearly the wrong people are being kept away from the Super Bowl. The people who need to be kept away from it are not the poor, but rather the politicians who lavish money on the games for the benefit of the wealthy NFL team owners, players, and associated interests, and at the expense of ordinary taxpaying residents.

If the homeless were more organized, they could get a lot of concessions from the city government by actively congregating around the site and making themselves seen and heard, rather than allowing themselves to be bought off with paltry scraps of shelters and services. "You want us to stay away from the Super Bowl? Okay, then you pass laws making it legal for us to pitch tents in the parks or on sidewalks."
