OK we can change Justin Hermann Plaza to Trump Plaza.
Or how about Bobby Fisher?
But I think a name does not alone define our history. If we are serious about how history defines us, we need ritual to recreate now, what our history defines.
Then the names might actually change as we find the critical elements in the ritual, where the events of Lexington and Concord might be more critical than the typical war hero or Founder.
Perhaps a symbolic mini-wall on the border of Daly City, made out of Legos, with a Trump piñata suspended over it?

Lego walls and piñatas. So much for intellectual discussion [] So, might as well bring in another new slant to all this, and expand a bit on what Aubrey said about progressives being about the moment.
Yes, I vote for a Bobby Fischer parklet (start a tradition of naming those parking-space obliterators). That might shine some light on some cultural past that seems to have little traction among most San Franciscans. Maybe some progressives might take umbrage with the "elitist" game of chess, and then maybe we can direct them to look at the faces of the people participating in the contest on this website. I think the expression of the Latvian Finance minister, an amateur, when she figured her opponent, a chess champion, had messed up, is priceless (she's the one with her hand on her mouth). The minds of our kids, in government schools or not, need to expand, not shed history, events, happenings, etc.

Legos are a great learning tool! And the now-plentiful piñatas will probably be going cheap after Trump loses the election.
I'd be up for a Bobby Fisher parklet though. The city has just the spot for it: On the sidewalk near the Powell Street BART station where street people have for many years set up tables and played chess, until 2013 when the SFPD confiscated their property and rudely evicted them (see http://blog.sfgate.com/cityinsider/2013/09/17/police-shut-down-chess-games-on-market-street/ ).
