SF Police Commission meeting tonight (530pm)

After hearing from SF Police Commission member Petra DeJesus as the guest speaker at our meeting on Sunday, I wanted to send along the information about the commission, which as Petra told us meets the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wednesday afternoons each month at 5:30pm.

If you'd like to listen to tonight's meeting (commission meetings are happening remotely until further notice) and speak during public comment if desired, the call-in number is (408) 418-9388, and the meeting access code is 146 628 2245. They take public comment at the end of the meetings, and also on each agenda item.

You can also watch SF Police Commission meetings stream live on local cable Channel 26, or find them online at www.SFgovTV.org.

To be added to their list to receive notice of meetings, email the request to sfpd.commission@sfgov.org (I'm told agendas are sent out the Friday prior to the meetings).

The commission's website is https://sfgov.org/policecommission/. I've copied the agenda for tonight's meeting below. Given the recent national (indeed worldwide) focus on police abuses in the wake of the murder of George Floyd, this should be an interesting time to pay attention to what's going on with this body and with the SFPD.

Love & Liberty,
