SF health insurance program

Dear Derek;

While looking for a different message I came across this one you
posted. The SF Healthy Medical plan isn't totally free. Particpants
are required to pay according to capability and how much they earn.

For a large family say like yours who earn at the federal poverty
guidelines say maybe a $1,000 a month they pay nothing. The fee paid
goes from zero up to some $675 a month.

See the chart here for what participants are required to pay.

Yes there will be those who pay nothing and yes there will be those
who pay something. But it isn't a total free lunch.

There's a really nice Federal poverty calculator at the web site so
you can plug in various family situations and income and see if you
qualify and how much you would have to pay based on income.

For our San Francisco Libertarians without medical insurance who do
not qualify for Medicare or Medi-Cal hey guess what - bite the bullet
and sign on up - it's free( sort of free that is).
