Dear Starchild;
My personal opinion is a mayoral candidate I do not support sticking their hand in my wallet and taking money out of it to support their candidacy does not get my recommendation nor do I believe even taking into account their other positions warrants the LPSF recommendation. This also takes into account the LPSF position of Vote No on whatever the heck the proposition was for public financing of mayoral campaigns.
I am bothered when a person who is running for mayor and before even getting elected starts off by putting their hand into the general funds piggy trough and sucks taxpayer money out of the general fund.
However if the LPSF at their mayoral candidate recommendation meeting wants to recommend such a person they are perfectly free to do so - but my vote will still be no.
