If I can speak for the others, our objection is not to "heated discussions." We have many of those.
The problem is contemptuous, disrespectful, insulting, name-calling, ad hominem accusations. For example, calling someone an asshole, stupid, crazy, etc.
I hope this clarifies the issue.
