What's his overall record, John? So far all I've heard is that he took an inappropriate stance regarding violence against Trump supporters. I'd like to hear more information on his policy positions and why replacing him would be good for the cause of freedom.

"States rights" were relevant in the rhetoric of racists who blamed Martin Luther King for the attacks on blacks and civil rights workers?
What record of Hitler was relevant to whether Jews were a problem or not?

Unless you intend to wear blinders and just make assumptions based on a single episode which could be wrong, of course a politician's record is relevant. If you're going to go to the trouble of trying to recall someone, it makes sense to investigate and be sure they are the worthiest local target.

I saw these emails this morning, but only now had a chance to put in my humble two cents. I am with Starchild on this one.
Recalling someone because he "blamed" somebody is an attack on his right to blame anyone he wishes, as long as he does not take unconstitutional or criminal actions based on his opinion (the same goes for Trump if he wants to blame Mexicans or Muslims for our poorly-performing economy). Based on what I have seen so far, Liccardo expressed his opinion (his right to do so), and seems to have agreed with the police commissioner's decision not to get into the melee with batons, pepper spray, or worse.
If recalling Liccardo is just a way to hit back at the establishment -- regardless of circumstances -- fine, go for it. Ditto if a way to hit back at Moveon, Soros, etc. -- but let's make sure we all understand that is all that is happening with this recall effort. Somebody has to be the fall guy, right?
