Real Property Transfer Tax [1 Attachment]

Hi All! This is the second of the ballot measures. This one was submitted by supervisors Campos, Kim, Mar, and Avalos, and its purpose is to lower the the rate at which the real estate transfer tax kicks in (from $5M to $2.5M). This is obviously a "tax the rich" measure (very popular these days), and for sure no public official would have the nerve to oppose this one. Jawj has graciously offered to write an argument against this one or the third measure (also a real estate transfer tax increase). As Libertarians, we should oppose all tax increases--even ones against the rich. More arguments against this measure would also be helpful in winning the lottery--the more angles, the better.

Thanks!
Aubrey
