Randall is 100% correct. The FBI is asking a "new" thing now that is above and beyond the "70 times before" argument. If the FBI prevails in this case, government further increases its ability to tell you how to run your business (government already uses businesses as tax collectors, child support collectors, enforcers of the "employee" status quo, undocumented folks roundups, etc.). Again, Tim Cook's responsibility is toward his customers and his shareholders -- and yes, that includes his overseeing good marketing strategies -- not the FBI.
