  Of course the LP has supported people's right to enter into all types of voluntary contractual relationships. But marriage is one of those voluntary contractual relationships. I don't see the harm in saying that we specifically support the right to marry. We're not saying that *government* should be marrying anyone, just that a person has the right to marry whomever he or she chooses.
