RE: [lpsf-discuss] Re: Denny for Mayor Signs

Dear Starchild,

There is quite a bit of bureaucracy in putting signs up. The name and address of the person who will be taking them down must be printed on the signs for example. I'd rather work with a company for that part of the sign project. However, getting signs into private homes and businesses, that's another matter.

With the sign company, the distribution of the signs is about $4 each.I'd be happy to pay that to anyone else who wants to help get the signs out there. Any takers?

So far, I've ordered some 4' X 5' and lots more 29" X 36". No requests for the smaller ones yet.

Mike,

Assuming you're talking a minimum of 30 signs or so (covering the cost of renting a vehicle), you can "sign" me up. 8) I will be out of town from September 7-15 however, because....

...I just found out I'll be going to Cancun to join the counterprotest for free trade at the WTO meeting! I won Bureucrash.com's contest to tell why you support free trade, and they are covering the air and accommodations! (Yay!)

If anyone has any suggestions for the protests, please let me know. I will definitely be bringing my ski mask (for those annoying tear gas attacks by the police) and bullhorn. 8)

My essay submission:

Mike,

I'll take a small sign for my window, though only the half dozen people who
live down the corridor from my apartment will ever see it. And maybe the
people across the street. I noticed the other day that the people in the
apartment on the 2nd and 3rd floors have a "Make F___" sign in the window,
which I guess is a play on "Make Love, Not War". If the landlord doesn't
mind them breaking the resident covenant about signs in windows, I should be
able to get away with putting up one of yours.
