What makes David Nolan so special? By that I mean why does anyone

his intent was? Why are his thoughts over 30 years ago important

a registered Republican very sympathetic to many libertarian views,
I
honestly couldn't care less about what David Nolan thought. I can
see that
someone identifying with the Libertarian Party might think his
views were
important, but I'm not sure it's rational on their part to care.
Whatever
his views or intent was, I can only conclude that they have been
abject
failures politically and have done very little to advance liberty.
Example: I submit that having Ron Paul (R-TX) in Congress, is many
times
over the public platform for libertarian ideas than all the elected
Libertarian Party members in any office. This is why I believe the
best
hope for increasing liberty in the near term lies with Republican
members of
Congress such as Flake (R-AZ) and Shadegg (R-AZ).

I agree. Let's not repeat the mistakes of the Objectivists (or the Nationalists) by deifying our founders.
