A reasonable point. Ultimate power lies with the people everywhere; the most brutal dictatorship can't last forever if the people don't support it. The same is true of individual laws, like those against marijuana, that aren't widely supported. We can frustrate the process of self-governance by setting up governments to thwart the will of the people in the short run--but why bother?
