This is an interesting twist. Didn't the Massachusetts LP recently vote to
abolish their state platform because they felt it was redundant? If I
recall correctly, they just decided to adopt the National LP Platform as
their own. I seem to recall someone on the LPC Exec Com suggesting we
follow Massachusetts' example, but the idea was quickly tabled because
California's platform contains so many provisions specific to our state that
it just wouldn't work out here.
