I'm intrigued by the fact that, in San Francisco, Ken Hamidi got more
votes than either Ned Roscoe or Jack Hickey. His statewide total was
above Hickey's and almost as high as Roscoe's. Anyone have a theory?

Ken Hamidi was the defendant in a case litigated by the Electronic Frontier
Foundation (Intel v. Hamidi); if he hadn't outed himself as a socialist, I
might've voted for him. Except then I remembered the details of the case,
too. (Hamidi was fired by Intel, and then sent e-mail to each and every
Intel employee telling them what a bad company their employer is. Intel
argued that this was trespass to chattel; Hamidi and the EFF argued it was
free speech. I'm with Intel on this one.)
