RE: [LPC-candidates] Re: [lpsf-discuss]Govt Creates NegativeExternalities [was Interview with Judge Gray]

Hi Brian,

I just wanted to mention that your comment that the mining industry
spews so much pollution is not necessarily inconsistent with Michael
Edelstein's position. If the land that is being mined is government
owned land, then Michael Edelstein's position still stands. Do you think
we could find out what percentage of the land mined by mining companies
is government land? If the same figures for mining hold as they do for
cattle grazing and lumber harvesting, it would be a vindication of
Michael's position.

Don't have time to get this info myself....but as you brought the number
to the table, perhaps you can substantiate that those numbers reflect
the activities of mining companies on their own private land.

Thanks

Michael Denny

Why should I have all the fun? I made an argument, quoted a statistic
and cited my source. I'll wait until Michael cites his earlier statistic's
source before researching this any further.
