The 48th district results are disappointing, especially considering I used to live in that district.
One thing that really shocked me was the strong showing of the American Independent candidate vs. the Libertarian. The AI party as far as I can tell is about a sick and twisted promotion of the christian religion's so-called "family values" as the law of the land and promoting the usual "the USA was founded as a christian nation" baloney. While I know there are a lot of them types down there I am surprised it is as high as 14%.
Our guy should have at least gotten the UC Irvine vote!
