Hi Starchild,
Thank you for your willingness to drop off the tapes. I would suggest
that you indicate at the next meeting that you are volunteering to be
the Public Access liaison, and see if the membership wants to reverse
the decision made at the last meeting not to continue the show.
As I had indicated in a couple of e-mails on the subject, I have not
been able to ascertain the status of our show; no response to my e-
mails or phone messages, no one at the desk is responsible for
programming, and the Public Access website no longer carries show
schedules. As you recall, Mike Denny reported that our show was not
being aired when it was supposed to be aired. So, assuming the
decision to discontinue the show is reversed, before you drop off any
tapes, you would need to find out if/when the show is aired, so that
you can label the tapes you are dropping off with the airtime, as the
Public Access people require.
Also, our current membership ends January 31, which means fee ($36
last year) would have to be paid at least a couple of weeks before
that.
If you like, you could call Public Access and see if you have better
luck than me in getting information out of them: 415 575-4946. If
they say they can only give information to the current liaison of
record (me, and probably also Phil), you would have to sign up as the
new liaison.
As I said, all this is a lot of work, Starchild; so personally, I am
in agreement with the decision no to renew the show. But, if you are
willing to do the work, you have my thanks.
Regards,
Marcy

Marcy,
I'd be happy to drop off tapes. I don't have cable, so cannot
monitor
the show. I do think this is something very worthwhile for us to be
doing. The cost is minimal, and I'm sure some people are seeing it.
I
haven't seen Art Tuma's "Libertarian Counterpoint" and don't know
how
it compares to Mark Selzer's "Libertarian Alternative" show.
Love & liberty,
