there are whole huge segments of the closed-shop economy, such as in govt,
which wd be denied to the worker.

also, many places start off being non-union (how abt wal-mart, being fought
over right now), and then are coerced into having a union, and then everyone
has to have be a member or lose their job. does not sound even remotely
libertarian to me.
