I have been advised that ranked choice voting is under assault on the Board of Supervisors, and that you are the swing vote. Please do not betray your progressive base on this issue. It is important that we start moving toward fairer systems of voting and democracy in this country, not backpedalling on the little progress that has been made. RCV still saves money on elections, even if it has not proven the boon to ensuring greater representation for marginalized voices that some of us had hoped, and you know the motivation to toss it out is crassly political.
