Petition for voiding the LPCon floor fee...

https://www.change.org/petitions/jc-petition
In case you haven't heard, the LNC this weekend voted to keep the $94 floor fee that all delegates will be charged before they are allowed to take the floor and vote. According to above, this is against LP Bylaws. Once 140 sustaining members sign, this can be brought to the judiciary committee. They're shooting for 300 signatures and currently have 103.

In defending the floor fee in the LNC meeting just two minutes after a member complained that those making $30,000 a year might not be able to afford that fee, Wayne Root stated that CA (which had $120 floor fee) and NV (fee unknown) had fees and SURE they had less people but they were a "HIGH QUALITY OF PEOPLE, VERY HIGH QUALITY."

As I wrote when I signed the petition: "The quality of libertarians is judged by their commitment to principle, not their willingness to pay a floor fee."

" You have no
recourse nor protection save to secede from the union."

That didn't work out too well the last time someone tried it.

Just sayin', B.

No, the petition appeals to the Judicial Committee to uphold the rule of law. We don't intend to leave the LP. We assume they will rule correctly.
Please sign the petition.
