Dear Trina,
It has been cogently pointed out to me the Voters' Pledge does not effectively differentiate the Hawks from the Doves. A George Bush Hawk could, in good conscience, sign the Pledge. In fact, I recall Bush stating he wishes a speedy (successful) end to the war. He has also denied this is a war of U.S. aggression.
A pledge which does the job you're intending would say something like:
"I will not vote for or support any candidate for Congress or President who does not
make immediately ending all funding for the war in Iraq, and refusing to engage in any future war, a public position in his or her campaign."
Without "immediately" or "now" in the pledge it can be interpreted too broadly to be meaningful.
Best, Michael
