The ACLU office at 39 Drumm Street will host an event featuring live streaming video of a Rally Against Mass Spying. Saturday morning's program falls on the 12th Anniversary of the PATRIOT Act. It starts at 9am. Bagels and coffee will be available.

I learned about the protest at a meeting of The Internet Archive yesterday. I did not realize that the Archive (http://archive.org) was such a force for liberty. One thing they do, in contrast to other high profile web sites, is systematically delete all records of who visited the site and what material visitors accessed. This way it is impossible for them to comply with demands from the FBI and other police agencies.
