I understand what you're saying, but this really is important. Around 6 thousand Iraqis were killed and many more wounded. More than a hundred american soldiers are dead and one or more are dying everyday in Iraq. This is no small matter.
If the truth was told and the public supported a war, then that may be (in my opinion) unfortunate, but not illegal under US law(as far as I know). However, if there was deliberate deception used to gain support for an action that would undoubtedly lead to a great number of deaths, then that's a very serious crime indeed. I would guess that would fall under the category of high treason.
