On second thought

I like it! However, I don't know if it would mean
anything to statists. Perhaps someone could do
a test run, and ask a few statists for their feedback

Good one Michael....so how about "supporting equal rights to be left
alone since 1972"?

Libertarians believe in equal rights to be left alone,
but not equal rights to plunder others.

Steve, your phrase seems to conflate the two.

I'll second that and add my contribution to the cause.

Also, I realize there are many here that view these
types of conversations as splitting semantic hairs,
but I still contend that there is a huge difference
between the libertarian (negative)right to be left
alone to marry and the (positive)right to marriage -
state granted or otherwise. Starchild and I hashed
this out extensively a couple of months ago so I don't
think it's necessary to repeat it all yet again.

That point aside, I would challenge anyone here to
argue how arbitrary groupings of people have ANY
rights whatsoever(positive or negative). I think even
anarchists and constitutionalists would agree that
groups -even as few as 2- aren't legitimately granted
any protections or privileges that an individual may
lay claim to.

I will gladly discuss this further off-list or at the
next chat.
Cheers,
David
