On second thought

That's good Steve....the only thing is that most people think that
"equal rights" means that they want the government to have the same
control over their lives that other people have....they want to wear the
same chains as other people. I'd like to make it clearer. I think
Starchild's approach works, to do it as a comment when we give the
flowers.

How about this...."Supporting equal rights for same sex couples since
1972"...then say "Now we just have to get government out of marriage
altogether."

Or something like that....I'm in for $50.

Mike

Starchild and I can purchase and distribute the flowers tomorrow. Would it be ok with everyone (who can't be present to provide cash or check) to send the money to my paypal account (steve@...)? You can send your paypal email receipt to the list so there is a public record and I could the receipts (for record) and any money leftover to Bart as a group LPSF contribution. Does this sound ok?

I'll help distribute the flowers depending on the time tomorrow; I'm booked
until 11:30, so Steve, please let me know what time. Call my cell
(845.8202). I can also help with the purchase, but not via PayPal (credit
cards are still recovering from the holidays).

As for the message: keep it short and sweet. Accuracy is good, but
expressing a principle in positivist terms is more important, I think. We
*do* support equal rights. For example, we don't want to end the welfare
state for gays - we want to end the welfare state for everyone. Leave them
with a strong, brief, positive impression of Libertarians; get them
re-educated later. (-:
