But, of course, you and I get no protection. Instead, we get our guns confiscated while Feds supply guns and rifles to Mexican cartels and their gangs in this country. In some states like California, we can't even carry other means of defense, like batons. We are mandated, by law, to be totally defenseless.
This is starting to feel like the reign of King Henry VIII to me, complete with royal excess, unchecked executive power, executions without trials, total cronyism, imperial wars, and absolution for the crimes of the politically connected, only worse, because I don't recall there being any general weapons bans then (maybe because the regular folk simply couldn't afford them).
