I have invited him Michael, although not as an official speaker. Are you saying you want him invited as an official speaker? I don’t know whether you’re aware of this, but Nickolas unfortunately left the LP and is running as a Republican; the Libertarian Party of California has nominated Jeff Hewitt for governor. Last time we merely recommended a vote for a Republican (in a race where there was no Libertarian running), a couple people (Richard and Rebecca) complained and both the LPSF and myself personally faced the prospect of being censured by the state executive committee.

Personally I still believe in putting my vote where it will do the most good for freedom (regardless of party affiliation), and I haven’t yet decided how I’ll vote. I’ll probably wait and watch until closer to the election to see what kind of messaging each candidate is putting out, how much media coverage they each seem to be attracting, and how much good for the freedom movement I think they’re each doing. Of course securing a higher vote total for the candidate running as a Libertarian counts for something too, all other factors aside, since there’s a good chance that few members of the public will ever know about Hewitt and Wildstar as individuals, and only the vote totals they secure running in their respective parties will be recorded for posterity.

In the meantime I’m personally open to helping both libertarian gubernatorial candidates as the opportunity arises, but am agnostic on whether or not it would be beneficial or a good idea for the party (LPSF) to formally have Wildstar speak to us about his campaign before the election. Not that it’s necessarily the most effective use of his time anyway – we don’t offer that big an audience.

Your thoughts? Others?

Love & Liberty,

((( starchild )))

Thanks, Starchild.

Did not know that. I’m ok with whatever you decide about his speaking.
