Heh, I had the same thought! The main drawback would seem to be the potential for people abusing such a phone number if it became too widely known, but a bunch of relatively small groups like ours having their own phone/broadcast numbers seems like a smart idea to quickly spread the word of something rotten going down. I too would be curious to hear how it was set up.
