A requirement to become a member of the LP is to sign a pledge, which reads: I do not believe in or advocate the initiation of force as a means of achieving political or social goals. Which statement(s) best describe your feelings about this requirement?

o This is part of the foundation of our party. It must never change
o The statement is what attracts new members to our party
o Its OK. It sets us apart from the other political parties
o Im not sure if it is good or bad. I can't decide
o I dont agree with it but I signed it anyway to be part of the LP
o It hinders us from acquiring new registered voters and members. Get rid of it
o It has outlived its usefulness. Get rid of it
o What about economic, racial, gender, etc., goals? Get rid of it
  o None of the above

Thanks!

With such a poll, it would have been useful to indicate the votes at
a national convention required to "get rid" of the LP Pledge. Not a
trivial number.
